Our new school year is off to a good start and the Fall activities are well underway!  We have some exciting events coming up such as our Open House, Grandparents Breakfast, and the Halloween Parade.  Make sure to check our school calendar and webpage to keep current on all events.

This year we have started a new math program in grades K, 1, and 2.  The program is called Math in Focus and is based the fundamentals of Singapore math.  Activities are closely aligned with the new Common Core Standards. For more information feel free to contact your child’s teacher or have a question ready for our Open House night.

In the hallways you will see our student’s work of art proudly displayed!  We have hung a number of picture frames to show off our local talent.  Please take the time to view these as you stroll through our school.  We also have our Book Fair on display in the Media Center.  Students will be able to preview them and take home a ‘wish list’.  Please encourage your child to pick out a book or two for purchase, with the goal that he or she will continue to enjoy reading and learning.  That’s about it for now, hope to see you at one of our up coming activities!
