The Fort Edward Union Free School District Instructional Technology Team is dedicated to creating innovative and engaging learning environments that cultivate adaptable, lifelong learners. Guided by our district mission, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where all students actively acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to reach their full potential.
Technology planning at Fort Edward is an ongoing, collaborative process aligned with our 2026-2029 Instructional Technology Plan. Building upon a strong network infrastructure, our current focus centers on expanding digital capacity and ensuring equitable access for all. At the start of the 2026-27 school year, we are proud to fulfill this commitment by providing a dedicated 1:1 mobile device for every student in all grades.
Through a fiscally responsible equipment refresh cycle, a K-12 digital fluency curriculum, and ongoing professional development, we empower our students to navigate an ever-changing technology landscape with integrity and confidence. By promoting critical thinking, digital safety, and strong moral character, we ensure our students become "ethical practitioners" who are future-ready to succeed in a complex global society.

The Fort Edward Union Free School District is committed to providing a forward-thinking, secure digital environment for our students and staff. Our state-approved 2026–2029 Instructional Technology Plan outlines our strategy to ensure equitable device access, implement a robust K–12 digital fluency curriculum, and foster a strong sense of digital citizenship and character. We design our technology initiatives to be fiscally responsible, sustainable, and directly aligned with the New York State Education Department goals.

If at any time the district learns that student and/or teacher/principal data has been compromised, parents and guardians will be notified, and the data breach will be reported to the state Education Department. Parents who have concerns or complaints about data privacy or security may file a complaint by contacting the Superintendent’s Office at 518-747-4529.
