Library / Media Center

All students wishing to use the library must obtain a pre-signed pass from the librarian or their subject area teacher prior to entering study hall. They may then sign out from study hall to work in the library.

The Fort Edward Library Online Catalog may be accessed from any computer with Internet capability.

Need materials for a research project? If our library doesn't have it, we can borrow it from another local school or library system. See the librarian today, and we'll help you secure the resources you need.

Students may check out all library materials for a period of four weeks. If additional time is needed the items may be renewed.

Overdue reminder slips are sent to students during homeroom. If the item is not renewed or returned after a month a letter will be sent to the parent/guardian requesting assistance in having the item returned.

All students are responsible for the cost of replacing a lost or damaged book.

We subscribe to many magazine and reference databases that are available for all students and staff in school and at home.

Contains the holdings of Crandall Library and all the Southern Adirondack Libraries.

The Capital District Library Council’s Virtual Online Regional Catalog. Type guest at the patron id prompt to log in.

New York State Library
This catalog contains the holding of the New York State Library located in Albany. A request for an inter-library loan may be made with your librarian.

Insignia
The BOCES Media Library contains a variety of resources including: Over 3,000 educational videos; 55 Big Book titles – each big book title is accompanied by a teacher’s guide, 25 student copies of the book, and an audiotape reading of the book; 300 Multiple Book titles – this collection covers all grades and contains 20-75 student copies of each book; 200 Audio Book titles – this collection, consisting of unabridged books on tape and CD, was developed to support student listening skills
60 CD-ROM titles (for PC or Mac); 1,500 DVD collection titles; 21,000 streaming audio/video titles; and 50 Jackdaws.

SORA – Ebooks 
This is a database of audiobooks that you may download to your listening device for a 2 week loan period. Contact your school librarian for a password. A limited number of MP3s are available for loan from your library.
