2nd Grade Classroom Selected for Connect Kids to State Parks Grant

Congratulations to Mrs. Morey and her class for being awarded the Connect Kids to State Parks Grant. This grant will provide funding for some great outdoor activities for 2nd grade students. First, the students will be going snowshoeing and learning about the history of Saratoga State Park. Later in the year they plan to visit the NYS museum and will be going on a tour called “Museum Detectives” that investigates the history of the firetruck. They will also be on self-guided tours to learn about Adirondack animals, rocks, birds and mammals, along with many other things. Finally, second grade students will be participating in the Moreau State Park Conservation Day. This is a fun filled day of learning about conservation topics!
