Fort Edward UFSD is proud to celebrate 3rd-grade student Katerina (Katie) Pyatovsky for making headlines!

Katie’s creative writing was recently featured in The Chronicle Newspaper as part of their School Views feature. Her teacher, Mrs. DeLisle, shares that Katie has a real passion for crafting creative stories—and her talent is definitely showing!

The start of a new school year brings fresh starts, new opportunities, and—of course—getting all those classroom essentials together. We know how quickly backpacks, notebooks, and pencils can add up, which is why we are thrilled to host a special event to help our local students step into the classroom ready to succeed.

Mark your calendars! On Thursday, September 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, we are hosting our 2nd Annual School Supply Giveaway.

Fort Edward School will be hosting annual sports physicals on August 12, 2026 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for all interested student-athletes.

The Fort Edward Union Free School District’s Committee on Special Education (CSE) is seeking parent volunteers to serve as CSE Parent Members. Qualified parents—whose children are currently in or have received special education services within the last five years—can complete a brief training to help guide and support other families during CSE meetings.

Fort Edward Athletics has announced that registration for the Fall 2026 sports season will open soon through FamilyID / ArbiterSports. Sign-ups begin on July 21 for JV and Varsity Football, followed by all other High School sports on July 24, and Modified sports on July 31. Additionally, the district will host school-offered physical examinations on Wednesday, August 12, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM by appointment only. Parents and guardians can complete registration on the school website or call the athletic department at 518-747-4529 with any questions.

We want to keep that progress going, and we need you to help us build the future of Fort Edward softball. Join Coach Toomey for summer ball at Mullen Park every Monday at 10:00 AM. All girls in grades 7-12 interested should attend. No matter your skill level, if you want to play, we want you there. See you Monday!
