Positivity Project - Week 9 Review

Student Group Photo

Last week we focused on the character strength of Bravery. Bravery means you act with mental, moral, or physical strength even when you know things are difficult or scary.

Here are two P2 Spotlight Stories from last week:

  • Fort Edward students made Veterans Day cards for the residents of the Fort Hudson Nursing Home that have bravely served our country.

  • In the elementary we had an assembly on Friday to review our P2 strengths  and celebrate those students that have displayed and participated in the positive character strengths for the month.  We had some special guests play a fun game of charades to act out each of the October character strengths.   This was lots of fun and students loved seeing their teachers, principal, superintendent, and fellow students show off their acting skills.  At the end of the assembly we announced our P2 Dojo store raffle winners.  There was lots of excitement in the air!

  • Members of our P2 CORE Committee attended the Positivity Project Regional Summit and had a chance to collaborate with schools from North Carolina to Potsdam.  Mrs. Russo, Mrs. Stark, and Mrs. Smatko met Jeff Bryan, the CEO and Co-Founder of the Positivity Project.  He was very impressed with Fort Edward's PK-12 rollout and can't wait to hear more about our year one journey.   A special THANK YOU to Mechanicville City School District for hosting this event.
